Spring Into Action & Give Your Home Some Love

Laura Jewett June 1, 2024

Ahhh! Spring is in the air!

While temps here in Arizona are below normal, the trees are still budding, the flowers are blooming and seasonal allergies are setting in! Spring has also become synonymous with Spring Cleaning! This year we are focusing on some of the housekeeping tasks that often get overlooked or just downright ignored! In the hustle and bustle of daily life we often adapt the adage of “if it’s not broken, why fix it!” While this can serve us well in some circumstances, it does not generally pan out very well when it comes to home maintenance.

Living in Arizona offers a unique blend of beauty, warmth, and challenges when it comes to home maintenance. The desert climate, with its scorching summers and mild winters, requires homeowners to be proactive in preserving their properties. As the seasons change, so do the tasks necessary to keep your home in top condition.

Here's your guide to home maintenance for the upcoming months: March- May

Inspect and Clean Gutters: Spring in Arizona often brings windy conditions, which can fill your gutters with debris. Clear them out to prevent clogs and water damage.

Check Your Roof: Inspect your roof for any damage caused by winter storms or strong winds. Look for loose or missing shingles and repair as needed.

Service Your Air Conditioning Unit: Before the sweltering heat arrives, have your HVAC system serviced by a professional. This ensures it's running efficiently and helps avoid breakdowns during peak summer months.
Inspect Your Irrigation System: With the onset of warmer weather, ensure your irrigation system is functioning correctly to keep your landscaping healthy without wasting water.
