4th of July + Summer Fun in Arizona

Laura Jewett July 2, 2023

The 4th of July is the epitome of summer celebrations. It is a time to honor our amazing country as well as to spend cherished family time together. While many Arizonans travel to seek out cooler temps, there are still an amazing array of events and activities right here in the Valley to enjoy.

Fabulous PHX will again be hosting its annual fireworks shows (one of the largest in the Southwest!) along with family-friendly activities. Starts at 6:00-10:00 pm.

You can even enjoy a unique 4th of July celebration having fun and staying cool at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park – the fireworks show is included with admission! Fireworks displays, parties, parades, and festivals will be happening across the Valley so be sure to check out our full lineup here. The show starts at 8:30 pm.

And the fun does not have to stop here! Summer is a time for enjoying less hectic schedules and more relaxed mornings without the hustle and bustle of making school lunches and coaxing (or threatening!) kids out of bed. It is a time to reconnect with our kids and make time to do things that the school year generally does not allow for. Perhaps you elevate your next family movie night to the next level with a projector screen, fun snacks, and decorations! You can even make it a swim-up movie and relax floating in the pool while enjoying your favorite movie!

While there are companies that can supply the equipment, handle the set, and provide top-notch audio and video equipment (At Home Outdoor Movies, Fun Flicks Outdoor Movies, Gamez on Wheelz, Outdoor Movie Magic) there is also an endless supply of resources and ideas to have a DIY at the home experience that your family will love! And check out some other fun ideas here!
